Reykjavik Golden Circle Tour Itinerary

This day tour starts with a pick up at your accommodation in Reykjavik. From Reykjavik to the Golden Circle, we head first to Kerid Crater. Kerid was formed about 6,500 years ago and lies at the northern end of a row of craters known as Tjarnarhólar. It is oval, about 270m long, 170m wide, and 55m deep. From Kerid, we head to Faxi Waterfall, before heading to the world-famous two-story Gullfoss Waterfall. After admiring the waterfalls, our next stop is at the Geysir hot spring area, where Strokkur spouts water up to 100ft in the air every 4-8 minutes. On our way to Geysir, we make a short stop so you can see the Icelandic Horse up close. After Geysir, we will visit the National Park of Thingvellir, where the first parliament in the world was founded and also where the tectonic plates meet and divide the continents of Europe and America. At Thingvellir National Park we visit Lögberg, Drekkingarhylur, Öxarárfoss, and walk between continents before heading back to Reykjavik.
